Overview :

IEA Trust was established in Pondicherry on January 22, 2015, with the aim of supporting widows or abandoned women with dependent children. The trust primarily focuses on assisting women who earn a meager salary and face challenges in their daily lives.
The primary objectives of the trust are to provide these women with the necessary knowledge, skills, and guidance to lead their families successfully. Additionally, the trust aims to support the children of these families and help them in their daily lives.
Since its inception, the trust has grown significantly, from initially assisting 200 families to now supporting approximately 300 families and their school-going children.
The trust's efforts are directed towards improving various aspects of their lives, including:

  • Educational Level

OUR VISION :

We are driven by a vision of a world where every person has access to basic necessities, opportunities for growth, and the ability to lead a dignified life.

OUR MISSION :
  • Sponsor only very poor women bringing up their children alone or with a disabled or ill husband who can’t work
  • Sponsor orphan children
  • Awarding scholarships to girls
  • Take evening Tuitions
  • Open Day nurseries or Creche
  • Guide the children in their education and help them to become independent.
REQUIRED CONDITIONS TO HELP :
  • The mothers :
    • must work and have an income of less than Rs 12000 per month have no property income (renting any shop or house etc…)
  • The children :
    • be enrolled in a school or college
    • have applied all the government scholarships (Minority, Dalit, Community etc…) and all other necessary formalities (Centac) and provide proof and explanation if they failed to get them.
  • IEA Trust commitment :
    • Finances all or part of the cost of studies,
    • will not support the studies in an expensive school/college
    • stops any kind of aid when children finish studies and is no longer concerned for the financial problems of the family or the children.
HOW IEA TRUST CHOOSES THE BENEFICIARIES :
Required documents
  • Death Certificate of the husband
  • Destitute certificate
  • Community certificate
  • Adhaar Card of the Mother and the children
  • Ration Card : Red or yellow
  • Rank Card
  • Pension Book
  • Health insurance Card
  • Work certificate with contact address and mobile number
  • Bank Account Book
Beneficiaries’ duties
  • Give thrice a year to IEA Trust office with bank book entries, school results and all requested documents
  • Must attend the Awareness Meetings
  • Inform if the children are not able to continue their studies and of any serious health problem
  • The children must write letters with attached drawings to the donators, twice a year.
